American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience and strong bariatric and robotics skills for a hospital OR position at a Level II Trauma Center in Green Bay, WI.

Details

• Work in a hospital OR with 19 rooms split between two locations within the same building
• Patient population includes General, Robotics, Bariatrics, Ophthalmology, Ortho, Neuro, Cardiac, Urology, ENT (sinus, ear tubes, tonsils, thyroids), Plastics, Endovascular, and Vascular cases
• 1:1 tech-to-patient ratio
• Anesthesiologist monitors telemetry
• Day shift, 0645–1515 (8-hour shifts, 40 hours/week)
• No call, no weekend rotation
• May be required to float between the Main OR and East side (same building), with rare potential floating to a West Side surgery center
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CST experience required
• Bariatric experience required
• Proficiency in Robotics (DaVinci Xi and DV5) required
• Must be able to scrub Neuro and Orthopedic cases
• CST certification required
• BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• At least 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Performs preparatory, scrubbing, and related services to support patient care in the OR across all specialty areas
• Assists with sterile processing tasks including assembling instrumentation, picking and putting away supplies, and managing outdates
• Assists with patient positioning and establishing sterile fields
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Free on-site parking is available
• Orientation consists of two 8-hour shifts on the unit
• Charge nurse coverage is available Monday through Friday only
• Some holiday coverage may be required
• No more than 4 days of RTO will be approved; all RTO must go through the manager
• First-time travelers will be considered on a case-by-case basis
• Facility is a Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, Level III Maternity Center, and Primary Stroke Center with 167 beds
