American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with a minimum of 2 years of OR experience, including bariatric and robotic surgery, for a hospital surgical unit position in Green Bay, WI.

Details

• Hospital-based OR setting at a Level II Trauma Center with 19 ORs split between two locations in the same building
• Case types include General, Robotics (DaVinci Xi and DV5), Bariatrics, ENT, Plastics, Urology, GYN, Minor Vascular, Endovascular, Ophthalmology, Ortho, and Neuro
• 1:1 tech-to-patient ratio
• 8-hour day shift, 0645–1515
• Floating required between Main OR and East side (same building), with rare possibility of floating to an off-site West Side surgery center
• Some weekend and holiday coverage may be required
• No on-call requirements
• Epic EMR in use
• Free on-site parking available

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CST experience required
• Bariatric surgical experience required
• Robotic surgery experience required, specifically DaVinci Xi
• Ability to scrub Neuro and Orthopedic cases required
• CST certification required
• BLS certification required
• Active license required if applicable
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB required for consideration
• Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the past year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include scrubbing surgical cases across all specialty areas, patient positioning, and assisting with sterile processing tasks such as cleaning, outdating, picking, and assembling instrumentation
• Anesthesiologist provides telemetry monitoring during cases
• Orientation consists of two 8-hour shifts on the unit
• Hospital scrubs are provided
• Charge nurse coverage is available Monday through Friday only
• First-time travelers will be considered on a case-by-case basis
• No more than 4 days of RTO will be approved; all RTO requests go through the manager
• Facility is a Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, Level III Maternity Center, and Primary Stroke Center with 167 total beds
