American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU/Step-Down (SCU) position in Rockport, ME, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU and step-down experience and a valid ME or compact RN license.

Details

• Hospital-based Step-Down/ICU unit (SCU) with 8 beds
• ICU and step-down patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:2–3
• 12-hour day shifts, 6:45 AM–7:15 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Call requirements vary based on unit needs
• Floating required to MSU or other units as a resource, with a 25-mile float policy between facilities
• Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active ME or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• PALS preferred but not required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU and step-down nursing experience required
• Driver's License required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• 2 professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Solid-color scrubs required; printed scrubs are not permitted
• Pediatric experience is preferred but not required
• Use of AirPods, laptops, and cell phones on the unit is prohibited
• Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months must disclose this at the time of consideration
• Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility (in Maine or New Hampshire) are considered local and may not be eligible for travel pay rates
• Local candidates are not eligible for contract renewals or extensions
• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this position
