American Traveler is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician for an evening shift position at a Level II Trauma Center in Green Bay, WI, requiring SPM Tracking experience and CRCST or CBSPD certification.

Details

• Works in a 167-bed Level II Trauma Center with a Level III NICU, Level III Maternity unit, and Primary Stroke Center designation
• Sterile processing role supporting a wide range of surgical service lines including orthopedics, ophthalmology, neuro, plastics, ENT, urology, cardiothoracic, vascular, GYN, robotics, and general surgery
• Performs steam sterilization, low-temp (VRPO) sterilization, and high-level disinfection including use of a Medivator for TEE probes
• Routinely floats between decontamination, assembly, and sterilization areas, as well as between two sterile processing departments within the same building
• Uses SPM Tracking system for sterilization documentation (experience required)
• Uses Epic EMR
• Evening shift, 5 days per week, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM (8-hour shifts)
• No on-call, weekend rotation, or holiday requirements

Requirements

• CRCST or CBSPD certification required
• License required if applicable
• Minimum 1.5 years of sterile processing experience required; additional experience preferred
• SPM Tracking system experience required
• Experience with full-cycle sterile processing including decontamination, instrument inspection, assembly, wrapping, sterilization, and high-level disinfection
• Experience with a wide variety of surgical instruments across multiple service lines including orthopedics, robotics, and cardiothoracic
• At least 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration

• First-time travelers are not typically accepted; candidates with significant SPD experience may be considered with manager approval
• Candidates must have most recent experience within the last year
• Works independently and may be the sole technician in decontamination, assembly, or sterilization at a given time
• A senior SPD Tech serves as a shift resource but the role requires a high degree of independent functioning
• Orientation consists of 4 shifts total — 2 in each department; no formal hospital orientation
• RTO requests require manager approval
• Scrubs are provided (procedural color)
