American Traveler is hiring an Echocardiographer with at least 2 years of adult echocardiography experience and RDCS or RCS certification for a 13-week contract at a hospital-based cardiovascular center.

• Hospital-based cardiovascular center setting
• Adult patient population in an acute care setting
• 4x9 hour day shifts, including weekdays and weekends
• Experience with 2D, M-mode, spectral Doppler, color Doppler, contrast imaging, bubble study, strain, 3D, and stress echo required
• Epic EMR experience required
• No on-call required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in adult echocardiography; acute care setting preferred
• Associate degree or higher from a 2-year ARDMS-accredited Echocardiography program required
• RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• MA license required if applicable
• Ability to recognize abnormal cardiac structures and correlate findings into a complete diagnostic study
• Proficiency with ancillary devices including selected transducers
• DOB and full Social Security number required for consideration
• COVID vaccination required; medical and religious exemptions are accepted with documentation

Additional Information

• Perform a full range of echocardiographic studies including 2D, M-mode, spectral and color Doppler, contrast imaging, bubble studies, strain imaging, 3D echo, and stress echo
• Must be able to adapt and develop new imaging techniques when standard approaches are not applicable
• Former permanent staff members are not eligible to return to this facility as travelers, regardless of time elapsed since departure
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days during the assignment
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible to apply at a reduced pay rate
