American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a travel contract in a hospital radiology department, requiring ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications and experience across the full age continuum.

Details

• Hospital-based radiology department (CT)
• Performs diagnostic and interventional CT procedures for patients across the full age continuum
• Uses CT equipment, HIS, RIS, PACS, scheduling systems, and teleradiography
• 3x12-hour mid shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program required
• ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) required; CT certification must be obtained within 24 months of hire if not already held
• Current BLS certification from AHA, ARC, or Military Training Network required
• Valid NE state medical radiographer license required (license required if applicable)
• Knowledge of CT positioning, technical factors, radiation safety, and both non-invasive and invasive CT procedures
• Proficiency with CT equipment, PACS, and related computer systems
• Ability to perform venipuncture and use sterile technique as required
• 2 current professional references required for consideration: 1 from a supervisor within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and 1 from a peer or supervisor within the last 3 years in the specialty

Additional Information

• Performs all types of CT studies including diagnostic and interventional procedures, with adherence to radiation safety protocols for patients, staff, and self
• Coordinates exams within and across departments, communicating with medical staff, patients, families, and other hospital personnel
• Responsible for proper documentation of studies and accurate patient history review via department computer systems and PACS
• Assists with departmental orientation and student clinical education as directed
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
