American Traveler is seeking a Polysomnographer / Sleep Technologist for a pediatric sleep lab position requiring 3+ years of experience and RPSGT certification.

Details

• Outpatient pediatric sleep lab setting
• Primary work location is the Grayslake Sleep Lab, with occasional Saturday shifts (approximately once per month) at the main Chicago campus
• Pediatric patient population with a focus on diagnostic and therapeutic sleep studies
• Team of 2–5 staff per shift, including the traveler
• Cadwell equipment used for sleep studies
• Epic EMR
• 12-hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
• Primary schedule is Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday nights (36 hrs/wk)
• Occasional weekend shift approximately once per month at the Chicago location
• No holiday or on-call requirements

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of sleep technologist experience
• RPSGT certification required
• Pediatric sleep study experience preferred
• Proficiency with Cadwell equipment
• Epic EMR experience
• Prior travel experience required
• Permanent Illinois license required if applicable
• COVID and flu vaccinations required
• 2 references required, with at least 1 from within the last year

Additional Information

• Perform complete diagnostic and therapeutic sleep studies for pediatric patients
• Score studies in accordance with AASM scoring rules
• Orientation consists of one week (three shifts) with an assigned preceptor, with a brief daytime onboarding session on the first day for system access setup
• Scrubs required; any color or kid-friendly scrubs are acceptable
• Local candidates are accepted
• RTO is limited to a maximum of 10 days; any RTO taken must be made up by extending the end of the contract
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 45 days (travelers) or at least one year (permanent/returning employees)
• Candidates must complete the Illinois Cannabis Use Disclosure and Acknowledgment Form upon onboarding; pre-employment marijuana testing is not required, but being under the influence on the job will be addressed per standard protocol
