American Traveler is hiring an EEG Technologist with 2+ years of clinical electroneurodiagnostic experience for a travel assignment at an academic, Magnet®-designated Level 1 Trauma center in Madison, WI.

Details

• Work setting includes outpatient laboratory, emergency room, OR, ICU, special monitoring units, and bedside studies
• Performs EEG, evoked potentials (EP), nerve conduction studies (NCS), long-term monitoring for epilepsy (LTM), and ICU/continuous EEG monitoring
• Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Rotating weekends and holidays required
• No call required
• Travelers are the first to float and may be scheduled across multiple units or locations within the organization based on staffing needs

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of combined training and experience as a practicing clinical Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist
• Graduate of an accredited Electroneurodiagnostic Technology program (CAHEA-approved), OR 2 years of equivalent clinical experience
• Experience in an academic Level 1 Trauma center or similarly sized hospital required
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
• R. EEG.T credential preferred
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Prior travel experience highly preferred
• Candidate's permanent address must be 50+ miles from the facility
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic neurodiagnostic studies including EEG, EP, NCS, LTM, and ICU/continuous EEG monitoring under physician supervision
• Responsible for analyzing data during recordings to ensure valid and interpretable results, often without a physician physically present
• Must obtain relevant patient history to guide test procedures, requiring solid knowledge of clinical neurology
• Magnet®-designated academic teaching and referral center
• If primary department no longer has a need, shifts may be reassigned to another department to fulfill the contract
