American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2-3 years of hospital-based CT experience to perform basic and intermediate CT procedures under the direction of a Radiologist.

Details

• Work in a hospital-based CT department with 5 scanners
• Patient population includes inpatient, outpatient, and ER patients, with occasional pediatric patients (typically teenagers, approximately 2-3 per month)
• Procedures include general anatomy, calcium scoring, coronary studies, stroke alert, CTA perfusion studies, chest, abdomen, pelvis, head, biopsies, and drains
• 1:1 patient ratio
• GE Revolution and Evo scanners in use (experience preferred)
• Charting via Epic
• 12-hour day shifts, Friday through Sunday, 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM
• On-call may be required approximately 1 day per week
• Holiday coverage required when a scheduled shift falls on a holiday (1 summer, 1 winter)

Requirements

• Minimum of 2-3 years of CT experience in a hospital setting
• Current BLS and ARRT-CT certifications required
• Experience with inpatient, outpatient, and ER CT procedures including general anatomy, CTA, perfusion studies, and image-guided procedures
• Experience with GE CT equipment preferred
• Active state license required if applicable
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
• Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

Additional Information

• Performs basic and intermediate CT procedures under Radiologist direction
• Supported on unit by other CT techs, Radiology RNs, RRT, Code Blue team, and centralized transport
• Orientation consists of 3 shifts to learn department workflow
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Facility fatigue policy limits staff to no more than 60 hours per week or 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts
• Any scrub color is acceptable; camouflage and denim prints are not permitted
