American Traveler is seeking a multi-modality CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience in both CT and X-Ray imaging for a 13-week night shift contract at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital in South Carolina.

Details

• Multi-modality imaging position performing both CT and X-Ray procedures in an acute care hospital setting
• Level 1 Trauma, Magnet-designated, academic teaching hospital with 865 staffed beds
• 3x12 or 4x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirement
• Floating to like units within scope is possible based on facility needs
• Charting performed in Epic
• Siemens equipment experience is highly preferred
• PACS experience is highly preferred

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in both Radiography and CT
• ARRT registration in both Radiography (R) and Computed Tomography (CT) required
• SCRQSA, BLS, and ACLS required (ACLS pending accepted if obtained within 2–3 weeks of hire); AHA certifications only
• South Carolina license required if applicable
• Experience in Emergency, Trauma, Pediatrics, and Orthopedic exams in both modalities highly preferred
• Epic and PACS experience highly preferred
• SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate; local candidates within 60 miles are considered on a case-by-case basis
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include producing diagnostic-quality images in both X-Ray and CT modalities, explaining procedures to patients, and ensuring competency in all performed procedures
• Radiation badge must be provided by the traveler's agency, as the facility does not supply radiation badges to travelers
• Scrub colors are teal blue top and black bottoms
• Pre-start orientation modules are required and completed before the assignment begins
• All RTO must be submitted at time of consideration and is subject to manager and unit approval
• Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
• Parking for night and weekend shifts requires a one-time payment of $20 for a parking pass
