American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift travel contract at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and ARRT-CT certification.

Details

• 562-bed acute care hospital designated as a Level I Trauma Center and Magnet facility
• CT department supporting adult acute care, outpatient, ICU, and ED patient populations
• Procedures include abdominal, pelvic, chest, vascular (CTA, pulmonary embolism, aorta), head, neck, spine, musculoskeletal, and coronary CTA
• Skills required include 3D rendering (MIP, surface shaded displays, volume rendering), multiplanar reconstruction (MPR), and ROI measurement
• Charting performed in Cerner
• 3x12-hour night shifts, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every 3rd weekend required; no call required
• No floating within the CT department; however, all travelers are expected to float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate facility as needed

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
• Active ARRT and ARRT-CT certifications required
• Current BLS required; AHA or Red Cross accepted (RQI AHA cards not accepted)
• Active Illinois state license required, or must be in application process with an ETA provided
• Experience in adult acute care, outpatient, ICU, ED, and Level I Trauma settings required
• Proficiency with contrast media preparation and/or administration, peripheral IV placement, venipuncture, radiation safety, and isolation precautions
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• License required if applicable

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction
• Former permanent or PRN employees of the Memorial Hospital System must have been away for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
• Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Time off requests beyond 5 non-holiday days require facility approval
• Travel pairs are not accepted at this facility
• Any solid color scrubs are acceptable
• Free parking is available with a permit obtained during orientation
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required, along with a full 7-year work history with all gaps explained
