American Traveler is seeking a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) with a broad range of sterile processing experience for a hospital SPD position in Portland, ME.

Details

• Work in a hospital Sterile Processing Department (SPD) supporting 40 ORs and a Labor & Delivery unit
• Mid shift hours from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
• Must have broad experience with instrumentation across General, Ortho, Neuro/Spine, Laparoscopic, Gyn, Urology/Cystoscopy, and Dental/ENT specialties
• Experience with robotic instrumentation is strongly encouraged
• Uses STERIS sterilization equipment
• No on-call requirements
• No float requirements
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of sterile processing experience required; 3+ years preferred
• HSPA CRCST or CBSPD CSPDT certification required
• BLS certification required
• CER/CFER and CIS certifications encouraged
• License required if applicable
• Driver's License required for consideration
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a large, diverse team

Additional Information

• Review of facility SPD core SOPs is required and can be completed on the first day on-site
• Flexibility and willingness to assist with weekend and holiday coverage is expected
• Hospital-laundered scrubs are provided; dedicated shoes for inside the facility are required
• Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility (in Maine or New Hampshire) are considered local and are subject to a different bill rate
• Local travelers are not eligible for renewals or extensions
• A 25-mile float policy between MaineHealth facilities may apply as needed
• Use of AirPods, laptops, and cell phones on the unit is prohibited
• Travel pairs or groups are not permitted for this position
