American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical First Assistant with strong Ortho, Neuro, ENT, and Robotics experience for a 13-week travel contract at a hospital OR in Daytona Beach, FL.

Details

• Hospital OR setting with exposure to Orthopedic, Neurological, ENT, and Robotic surgical cases
• 36 hours per week on 12-hour shifts
• Primarily day shifts with call requirements, including a minimum of 1–2 call shifts per week
• Call options include evening/overnight (5p–7a) or shorter evening call (5p–7:30p) depending on weekly scheduling needs
• One 24-hour weekend call shift required per month per schedule
• Variable days off each week
• May be required to float to nearby AdventHealth North facilities

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of OR experience as a Surgical Assistant or Surgical First Assistant
• Strong proficiency in Orthopedic, Neurological, ENT, and Robotic-assisted surgical procedures
• BLS certification required
• NBSTSA Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) credential required
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Assist surgeons during Ortho, Neuro, ENT, and Robotic procedures as a credentialed first assistant
• During 24-hour weekend call shifts, an ANM is available during the day and a Charge nurse is available overnight — board running and case scheduling are not required
• Hunter green scrubs required and are not provided by the facility
• COVID vaccination card required for consideration
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers — no radius rule applies
