American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical First Assistant with strong Ortho, Neuro, ENT, and Robotics experience for a 13-week travel contract at a hospital in Daytona Beach, FL.

Details

• Hospital OR setting with exposure to Orthopedic, Neurological, ENT, and Robotic surgical cases
• 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts
• Schedule includes variable days off, with a minimum of 1–2 call shifts per week and one 24-hour weekend call per month
• Call Option 1: 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM; Call Option 2: 5:00 PM – 7:30 PM, depending on scheduling needs
• Possibility of floating to AdventHealth North facilities

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of OR experience as a Surgical Assistant or Surgical First Assistant
• BLS certification required
• NBSTSA Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) certification required
• Strong proficiency in Orthopedic, Neurological, ENT, and Robotic surgical cases required
• License required if applicable
• COVID vaccination card required for consideration

• Scrub colors are Hunter Green and are not provided by the facility
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers — no radius rule applies
• First assist responsibilities during surgical procedures across multiple specialty service lines
• During 24-hour weekend call shifts, an ANM is available during the day and a Charge nurse covers at night — candidate will not be required to run the board or schedule cases
