American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neonatal ICU (NICU) position in Birmingham, AL, requiring a minimum of 2 years of NICU experience and night shift availability.

Details

• Located in the NICU of a 595-bed comprehensive hospital, within a Women's Medical Center housing a Level III NICU
• 32-bed unit caring for neonatal patients
• Patient ratio of 3:1
• Charting via Cerner EMR
• 13-week contract
• Night shift: 3x12, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating within scope of practice is required, including to facilities within a 25-mile radius if needed

Requirements

• Active AL or Compact RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required (AHA accepted only; American Red Cross certifications are not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent NICU experience required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

• The facility is a Joint Commission-accredited hospital that holds Advanced Certification in Perinatal Care
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Only natural nails are permitted — gel, acrylic, or embellished nails are not allowed
