American Traveler is seeking a Radiation Therapist with at least 1 year of experience and Elekta and Mosaiq proficiency for a fast-paced Radiation Oncology department at a Level 1 Trauma, academic medical center in Winston-Salem, NC.

Details

• Hospital-based Radiation Oncology department at a large 885-bed academic medical center with Level 1 Trauma designation
• Patient population ranges from pediatric (3 months) to geriatric, treating all types of cancers
• Average patient volume of 75–95 patients per day
• 2 therapists assigned per patient
• Uses Elekta linear accelerators and Mosaiq EMR; Epic also in use at the facility
• Schedule is Mon–Fri, with shift options of four 10-hour shifts (7:00am–5:30pm) or five 8-hour shifts (8:00am–5:00pm)
• No weekend rotation, no on-call or call-back requirements, and no major holiday obligations
• No floating outside of the department

Requirements

• Active Radiation Therapist license required if applicable
• Current BLS and ARRT-RT certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year of Radiation Therapy experience, with most recent experience within the last year
• Experience with Elekta equipment and Mosaiq required
• Must have completed at least one prior travel contract (13 weeks); first-time travelers will not be considered
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Deliver radiation therapy treatments in a fast-paced oncology environment with support from leadership, a lead tech, and a two-therapist-per-patient team structure
• Orientation includes facility new employee orientation (NEO) plus up to one week of departmental orientation, depending on experience and comfort level
• RTO requests require manager approval
• Required scrub colors are black and turquoise
• Employee parking is available on-site
• Candidates who have previously worked a permanent position at an AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible
