American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of cath lab experience and ARRT certification for a cardiac cath lab position with flexible shift options and call rotation.

Details

• Work in a hospital-based cardiac cath lab setting serving an adolescent through geriatric patient population
• Procedures include cardiac electrophysiology studies, ablation procedures, and structural heart and endovascular interventions
• Flexible scheduling with 9, 10, or 12-hour shifts available; shift start times vary between 7:00 AM and 7:30 AM
• 36 or 40 hours per week depending on shift selection
• Call requirement of approximately 14 days per 6-week schedule, including 2 weekends (Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
• Philips and McKesson EMR/technology experience preferred
• Floating to nearby affiliate facilities may be required based on need
• Local candidates are accepted (radius rule applies — candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates)

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of cath lab experience required
• ARRT certification required; license required if applicable
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Vocational/Technical Degree in RCIS, Radiology Technology, or an accredited Electrophysiology program required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Structured heart and endovascular experience is a plus
• Must possess strong analytical skills to monitor patient conditions, interpret ECG rhythms, and make rapid clinical decisions
• Must be able to calculate and administer drug dosages appropriately
• Must be able to perform some lifting and positioning of patients
• Ability to work flexible schedules and participate in an on-call rotation
• Proof of address and 1 supervisory reference required for consideration
• Full SSN and DOB (MM/DD) required for consideration
• Copy of certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include calibrating equipment, setting up procedures, prepping patients, operating and monitoring recording devices, and collecting diagnostic data during EP and cath procedures
• Must maintain a radiologically and electronically safe lab environment, including proper use of all PPE such as lead apron and thyroid shield
• Responsible for lab and OR equipment maintenance, supply management (FIFO), and supporting accurate procedure billing
• Must interact effectively with patients, families, physicians, and medical staff in high-pressure situations
• EKG test administered on the first day with 2 attempts to pass; study guides will be provided
• Dysrhythmia exam is not required for this position
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position (2 years of experience required)
