American Traveler is hiring an EEG Technologist with a minimum of 18 months of experience and active ABRET and R.EEG T. certifications for a 13-week rotating shift contract at a short-term acute care children's hospital.

Details

• Short-term acute care pediatric hospital setting
• EEG department covering epilepsy monitoring, sEEG, neurotelemetry, ictal SPECT, routine EEG, trauma, and critical care cases
• Team also provides EEG services to adult patients in an adjacent hospital and a mixed-level dependency (MLD) unit, including hookups, routine studies, and monitoring
• Rotating day and night shifts, 3x12 hours (7:00–19:00 and 19:00–7:30)
• On-call is required
• May float to a nearby affiliate hospital as needed
• Charting in Cerner (experience required)
• Local candidates are accepted for this Allied position

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 months to 2 years of EEG technologist experience
• Active ABRET and R.EEG T. certifications required
• BLS required (AHA and RQI accepted; must be current)
• Cerner EMR experience required
• License required if applicable — IN or Compact license must be in hand for consideration
• Graduate of an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited program required

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted if all other requirements are met
• Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Up to 5 days of RTO may be auto-approved per contract; 1 pre-approved time-off request is permitted
• Royal Blue scrubs required
• Former permanent or PRN employees of IU Health must have a 12-month gap before being considered as a traveler
