American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist for an outpatient imaging position requiring 2+ years of experience and proficiency in fluoroscopy in a fast-paced, high-volume outpatient imaging environment in Reno, NV.

Details

• Outpatient imaging department at a facility serving a 500-mile regional radius
• Patient population includes neonatal, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Schedule: Monday 9:30 AM–6:00 PM, Tuesday–Friday 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
• Floating to other locations within the organization may be required to cover sick call-outs and other needs
• Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts; call requirements will be discussed during interview
• Epic EMR used for charting; training provided during orientation or candidates may test out
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist
• Proficiency in fluoroscopy required
• ARRT certification required
• AHA BLS required
• State of Nevada Medical Radiography license required; license required if applicable
• Demonstrated competency in OR Suite, Trauma Suite, and portable radiography

Additional Information

• Produce diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic images while delivering individualized patient care across all age groups
• Responsibilities include verifying and executing physician orders, ensuring proper exam preparation, regulating patient flow, consulting with radiologists on contrast media, and making image quality corrections
• Additional duties include billing, supply stocking, file maintenance, medical charting, informed consent documentation, and patient history/symptom acquisition
• May be required to assist other modalities within the department or health system
• Extremely busy, fast-paced environment with volume and pace comparable to a Level 1 trauma center
• Minimum of 2 major holidays required
• Blocked scheduling is not allowed
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must complete a 13-week break after their last contract before returning
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• RTO must be disclosed at time of consideration; time is not added to the end of the contract to compensate for RTO
