American Traveler is seeking a CVOR Surgical Tech with at least 2 years of complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular scrub experience for a hospital CVOR position in Virginia.

Details

• Hospital CVOR unit serving an adult patient population, with pediatric experience considered a plus
• Complex case types include Coronary Artery Bypass, Ascending Aortic Aneurysms, Valve Repair and Replacement, Structural Heart Procedures (TAVR, MitraClip), Heart and Lung Transplant, ECMO, Ventricular Assist Devices, and redo and emergent cases
• 8-hour shifts scheduled between 0600–1630 or 0900–1930
• 40 hours per week
• On-call required approximately 1–2 weekday shifts per week and 1 weekend per month
• Facility has numerous ongoing research protocols

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent scrub experience in complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases
• Adult CVOR scrub experience required; pediatric scrub experience is a plus
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• CST credential required
• Virginia surgical technologist state registration required at time of consideration
• Virginia state license required if applicable
• Strong multitasking and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to function as a team player

Additional Information

• Scrub on complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical cases including emergent and redo procedures
• Participate in professional activities within the department
• Holiday coverage is required for one major holiday (Memorial Day, 4th of July, or Labor Day) and one winter holiday (Thanksgiving or Christmas) per department need
• On-call schedule includes approximately 1–2 weekday shifts per week and 1 weekend per month
