American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with a minimum of 3 years of CVOR experience for a 13-week travel contract at a high-volume hospital surgical unit in Austin, TX.

Details

• High-volume hospital CVOR service line performing routine and complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures
• Cardiac procedures include CABG, valve repair/replacement, aortic dissection, heart transplantation, ventricular assist device placement, Impella/IABP placement, adult ECMO, and TAVR
• Thoracic cases include laparoscopic, robot-assisted, and open procedures
• Vascular procedures range from ESRD graft/fistula placement and revision to endovascular interventions
• CVOR service line comprises 4–6 ORs depending on daily volume, including an endovascular suite, with capacity for four concurrent cardiopulmonary bypass procedures
• Weekend shift schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• On-call coverage required for the service line after normal business hours and on weekends

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of recent, full-time CVOR CST experience in a high-volume hospital setting
• Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures
• Must be able to function independently in a fast-paced surgical environment with minimal onboarding
• At least 2 verifiable references from prior travel assignments confirming no training was required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• License required if applicable
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration

• Candidates requiring extensive onboarding or with less than 3 years of CVOR experience will not be considered
