Description

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with 3+ years of experience for a 13-week travel assignment at an acute care hospital, with on-call and multi-service line float requirements.

Details

• Work in a 5-OR acute care hospital with 119 staffed beds
• Expected to float across all service lines offered at the facility
• Floating to sister facilities may be required
• Schedule options include 5x8s (6:45a–3:15p) or 4x10s (6:45a–5:15p)
• On-call is required, including call for 2 weekends per 6-week schedule with weekend day call coverage
• Holiday rotation is required
• Block scheduling may be accommodated but is not guaranteed based on the surgical schedule
• Epic is the preferred charting system

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of CST experience required
• BLS and NBSTSA certification required (NCCT is not accepted)
• Radiation badge required — must be provided by the staffing agency, as the facility does not supply radiation badges to travelers
• License required if applicable
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Must be prepared to float across all surgical service lines

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• All requested time off must be disclosed at the time of submission; approval is based on facility needs
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Parking is free in any unrestricted space on campus
• Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
