American Traveler is seeking an OR Surgical Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience for a 13-week hospital operating room assignment in Colorado.

• Hospital operating room (OR) setting
• Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts with on-call requirements; schedule flexibility is required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant surgical technologist experience
• Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program preferred
• Active Colorado OR Tech certification (license required if applicable)
• BLS/BCLS certification required
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Additional Information

• Provides surgical case assistance under the direction of the Department Manager and supervision of a qualified RN, ensuring procedures are carried out smoothly and efficiently
• Prepares the OR and supplies for each case using physician preference cards, knowledge of surgical procedures, and aseptic technique
• Maintains a sterile field from the opening of supplies through procedure completion and dressing placement
• Assists with patient positioning and surgical prep under RN supervision
• Performs room turnover between cases to minimize downtime
• Rotates through Central Processing Coordinator duties, including sterilization and instrument availability for the OR
• Pulls supplies and instruments for upcoming cases and updates surgeon preference cards as needed
• Adheres to proper OR attire as outlined in department policies
