American Traveler is hiring a travel IR Tech (Vascular Interventional Radiology) with a minimum of 1-2 years of IR experience for a 13-week assignment at a Level II Trauma Center and Magnet-designated teaching hospital in Rapid City, SD.

Details

• Work in a Medical Imaging - Radiology department with 2 IR suites and 1 overflow room
• Level II Trauma Center, Level II Pediatric Trauma, Level III NICU, Primary Stroke and Chest Pain Center, and Magnet-designated teaching hospital
• Patient types to be discussed during interview
• Variable day shift schedule with 10-hour shifts; specifics discussed during interview
• One overnight call per week (1600–0700) and one weekend call every 3 weeks (Fri 1700–Mon 0700)
• Holiday coverage required on a rotation basis
• May be asked to float to other areas within or below scope as needed
• Epic (preferred) and Omnicell used for charting and medication management

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-2 years of IR experience required; 2 years preferred
• Current BLS and ARRT or RCIS certification required
• Vascular Interventional Radiology (VI) certification preferred; will be discussed during interview
• License required if applicable
• Proficiency in sterile/scrub technique, Siemens equipment, and circulation for procedures
• Experience with dialysis patient population (shuntogram, permacath), port placement, drain/catheter placements, and embolizations
• Epic experience preferred
• First-time travelers considered with at least 2 years of experience
• Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
• 2 professional references dated within the past year required for consideration
• DOB and SSN required for consideration

• 5-day orientation provided (8-hour shifts)
