American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac IR unit at a Level I/II Trauma teaching hospital, requiring 3+ years of IR Tech experience and ARRT certification.

Details

• Cardiac Interventional Radiology unit at an academic teaching hospital
• Caseload of 5–10 cases per day
• Procedures include interventional body and neuro procedures, endovascular interventions, abdominal and pelvic interventions, and genitourinary interventions
• Equipment includes closure devices, EKOS, and GE and Philips Angio Suites, with sterile procedure and equipment setup required
• Charting via Epic (Radiant and Q-site); experience preferred
• 4x10 hour day shifts, 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Every other weekend and applicable holidays required
• On-call requirement of up to 3 nights per 7-day period, 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Floating within skillset is required

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of IR Tech experience required
• Active NJ or Compact license required; license required if applicable
• Current BLS and ARRT certifications required
• Teaching hospital experience required; Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Proficiency in scrubbing and circulating IR procedures
• Experience with closure devices, EKOS, and GE and Philips Angio Suites required
• Two current professional references required

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Local candidates are accepted
• Former employees of the RWJBH health system (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
• RTO requests made after an offer will not be accommodated; candidates should confirm all scheduling needs prior to acceptance
• No block scheduling is available; all schedule requests must be approved at the time of booking
• Hospital-provided scrubs
• Approximately 1 hour of non-billable pre-start online modules required
