American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist for a weekday day shift position in a radiation oncology department requiring ARRT certification and EPIC experience.

Details

• Work in a hospital radiation oncology department
• Adult patient population undergoing radiation therapy
• Uses EPIC EMR system; EPIC charting experience required
• Level 1 Trauma center environment
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM day shifts
• 13-week contract assignment

Requirements

• Active ARRT (T) registration in Radiation Therapy
• IEMA license as a Radiologic Technologist in Radiation Therapy, if applicable
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Associate’s degree in Radiation Therapy required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant radiation therapy experience
• Ability to speak, read, and write English
• Experience in Level 1 Trauma setting required
• Experience with EPIC EMR required
• No local candidates accepted; must live at least 50 miles from facility

Additional Information

• Deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments with minimal supervision
• Prepare treatment rooms and equipment, verify patient identification, and monitor patient condition during procedures
• Perform daily quality assurance checks on treatment plans and equipment
• Perform custom immobilization procedures for patient alignment
• Reinforce oncologist's advice regarding reactions and care during treatment
• No travel partners are accepted
• Returning employees may not work more than 1 year continuously and must take a 6-month break before resuming assignments
• Requested time off must not exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Two-week processing time is standard for background check and drug screen
• 30-day advance notice required to cancel assignment after starting
• Scrubs or hospital-appropriate attire required
