Description

American Traveler is seeking a Surgical Technologist First Assist (STFA) with at least 1 year of recent OR experience for a day shift travel assignment.

Details

• Position is based in a hospital operating room routine unit
• Day shift schedule from 07:00 to 17:00
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• Caring for a variety of surgical patients in a perioperative OR environment

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Surgical Technologist First Assist in the OR
• At least 4 years of overall relevant experience preferred
• Active license required if applicable
• No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment unless proof of renewal is provided
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number is required (Canadian SINs not accepted)
• No employment gaps of 90 or more days in the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Blocked scheduling may be allowed based on facility needs
• Up to 5 days of requested time off is allowed if it is made up within the assignment
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are eligible with a local contract policy in effect
• Local staff may complete up to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts at the local facility before a mandatory separation or transfer applies
• Full candidate file must be received and cleared prior to start
• All work history must be current and continuous
