American Traveler is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician with Level I trauma and extensive travel experience for an evening shift assignment.

Details

• Work in a Magnet-designated, teaching hospital on the Sterile Processing/Central Processing Unit
• Evening shift (5x8) from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm
• Level I trauma setting
• No floating required
• Handles decontamination, assembly, wrapping, container pans, and specialized ortho and spine instrumentation
• Processes instruments for general, vascular, neuro, eyes, and urology cases
• On-call weekends as needed
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of Sterile Processing Tech experience with Level I and II trauma exposure
• At least two completed travel assignments; first-time travelers will not be considered
• National certification required: CBSPD or IAHCSMM
• BLS certification required
• Ortho and spine processing experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• COVID-19 vaccine and booster required
• License required if applicable
• Active WA license or proof of pending license required for consideration
• Return staff must be separated for 18 months to be eligible

Additional Information

• Responsible for processing a broad range of surgical instruments and maintaining strict sterilization standards
• Solid color scrubs required; light blue scrubs provided on unit or by the OR
• Block scheduling requests may be considered
• Orientation time off (RTO) is not permitted; all RTO must be minimized
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate; no radius restrictions
• Parking is available onsite or offsite with shuttle service; parking is not included
• Must provide application, skills checklist, and two references for consideration
