Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of hospital-based IR and neuro experience; BLS and ARRT required.

Details

• Interventional Radiology department in an inpatient hospital setting
• Majority adult and geriatric patient population, with some adolescents
• Performs all IR procedures including stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephograms, kyphoplasty, peripheral interventions, biopsies, drainages, upper and lower extremity, abdominal, pelvic, genitourinary, vascular, venous access, and neurological studies
• Neuro experience including stroke intervention required
• Average daily case load of 13-17
• Uses Siemens and Phillips x-ray equipment; Acuson experience preferred
• PACS and contrast administration required
• First shift with staggered start times between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM, 5x8 hour days Monday through Friday
• Participation in weekend and evening/night on-call rotation as both primary and backup
• No floating required
• Hospital orientation scheduled during the first week; attendance required for all classes
• Scrubs are provided

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year recent interventional radiology experience in a hospital setting
• Previous travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• BLS and ARRT certification required
• Neuro experience and skill with both neuro and body IR procedures required
• Experience with Siemens and Phillips x-ray equipment required
• Experience with PACS and contrast required
• License required if applicable
• ARRT Advanced Certification preferred
• Experience with Epic and McKesson preferred
• Familiarity with outpatient, OR, ER, Level I trauma, teaching or community hospital environments preferred

• Perform a variety of IR procedures, including neuro and body interventions
• Work with complex cases and a diverse patient population
• Must be available for hospital orientation during the first week
• Scrubs are provided to all staff
• RTO (scheduled time off) requests are not allowed after booking
• Excessive call offs or additional RTO may result in contract cancellation
