American Traveler is seeking an experienced EP Lab Technologist for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring at least 2 years of EP Lab experience and current BLS/ACLS certification.

Details

• Position is in a dedicated EP Lab within a Level I Trauma and teaching hospital
• Adult patient population only, focusing on electrophysiology studies, ablations, and implantable cardiac devices
• 4 EP labs operational most days, with 3 labs on Wednesdays
• Shift is 4x10hr days, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with a 6-week rotating schedule
• Requires call two weekends per month and two weekdays per month, details discussed during interview
• No floating required
• Uses Epic EMR, Philips Cardio Lab hemodynamics, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Philips/GE/Siemens X-ray systems

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of EP Lab experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS required
• ARRT-R or equivalent OR RCIS required; RCES preferred for technologists
• Experience with EP/structural procedures and monitoring cases strongly preferred
• Must have recent clinical experience within the past year
• Must provide last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB for consideration
• At least 1 professional reference from a recent supervisor required
• License required if applicable
• Cannot have a permanent address within 50 miles of the facility

Additional Information

• Performs complex electrophysiology studies, ablations (PFA, radiofrequency, cryoablations), device and laser lead extractions, cardioversions, loop, pacemaker, defibrillator, and biventricular device implants
• One week general orientation with two days of unit-specific onboarding and Epic/ACE module training
• Supportive departmental structure includes charge nurses, VAD, ECMO, code, and RT teams
• Patient-centered team environment with an emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration and technical excellence
• Scrubs are provided and parking is free
• Travelers are expected to cover at least one holiday per contract if applicable
• Acceptance of first-time travelers
• Manager approval required for requested time off
• Returning employees must have at least one year separation from any prior permanent role in the system
