American Traveler is seeking an experienced Monitor Tech (EKG Technologist) with an active CA license and EKG certification for night or day shifts.

Details

• Work in a hospital monitor tech unit
• Schedules include night shifts (4x8 hours, 23:00–7:30) or day shifts (4x8 hours, 8:00–17:00)
• Position may involve working with various patient care equipment and monitoring systems

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a monitor tech required
• Active California state license required if applicable
• EKG certification required
• Demonstrated ability to recognize emergencies and take appropriate action
• Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
• Strong time management, organizational, and communication skills

Additional Information

• Must prioritize assignments and work independently as well as part of a team
• Ability to interpret and act on various forms of patient data and instructions
• Collaboration with peers and other healthcare providers is expected
• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
• Only one holiday time-off request will be approved
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility
• Returning travelers must have a 1 year gap before returning
