American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR Surgical Technologist with proficiency in heart and lung transplant procedures and BLS certification.

Details

• Work in a hospital CVOR unit with potential to float to Main OR when CVOR volume is low
• Day shifts: three 10.5-hour shifts (7am-5:30pm) and one 8-hour shift (7am-3pm) per week
• On-call required: two weekday 8-hour shifts (3pm-11pm or 11pm-7am) and one 24-hour weekend per month
• Patient population includes cardiac, vascular, and transplant surgical cases
• Handles cases such as valve replacement, coronary artery bypass, TAVR, dissection, VATs, and endovascular procedures
• Main OR cases may include general, laparoscopic, GYN, robotic, orthopedic, neurosurgical, vascular, and pediatric surgeries
• Epic is used for charting and documentation

Requirements

• Minimum 1.5 years of recent CVOR scrub experience required
• Proficiency in heart and lung transplant surgeries; kidney transplant experience highly preferred
• Experience with hybrid room and endovascular procedures, such as AAA, carotid endarterectomy, arteriogram, angiogram, TCAR, AV fistula, and Fem-Pop bypass
• Active NJ or Compact license required at time of consideration (license required if applicable)
• BLS certification required
• Background free of open or active issues and valid licensure are mandatory

• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Returning clinicians must not have worked at RWJBH for at least one year before consideration
