Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR Tech with advanced cardiac, thoracic, and vascular scrub experience for a 13-week hospital assignment.

Details

• Work in a hospital CVOR setting focused on complex adult cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures
• Primary procedures include CABG, aortic aneurysm repairs, valve repairs/replacements, structural heart interventions, heart and lung transplants, ECMO, VAD, and emergent cases
• 8-hour day shifts with start times at 6:00 AM or 9:00 AM
• On-call required 1-2 weekday shifts per week and 1-2 weekend shifts per six-week schedule
• Holiday coverage required for either a summer or winter major holiday according to department needs

Requirements

• VA license required at time of consideration, if applicable
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) and state registration required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of 2 years recent scrub experience in complex adult cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases required
• Ability to multitask and apply critical thinking skills is essential
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment

Additional Information

• Work closely with an interdisciplinary surgical team on advanced cardiac and thoracic operations
• Pediatric scrub experience is a plus but not required
• Participate in ongoing research protocols as part of department activities

• Any requested time off must be added to the end of the contract to complete a full 13 working weeks
