Description

American Traveler is seeking a Radiation Therapist with 3+ years of radiation oncology experience, California Therapeutic Radiology license, and ARRT certification for an acute care setting.

Details

• Work in an acute care radiation therapy department
• Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts from 07:30 to 16:00
• No weekends, no call, and no floating required
• Use of linear accelerators, simulators, dosimetry, and block cutting equipment
• Charting is completed using Cerner EMR; prior Cerner experience preferred but not required

Requirements

• Current Therapeutic Radiology license issued by the state of California required if applicable
• Active ARRT (T) certification
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum of 3 years experience in radiation oncology
• Demonstrated proficiency with radiation therapy equipment including linear accelerators
• Copy of driver’s license required for consideration
• Two references required: one supervisor reference from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor reference from within the last 3 years; references must include dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include accurately administering radiation therapy treatments and handling specialized equipment
• 12 hours of orientation provided at the start of the assignment
• Scrub or dress code requirements will be communicated prior to start
• Candidates may not have been directly employed by any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year
