American Traveler is seeking an EEG Technologist with ABRET certification, BLS, and Epic EMR experience for an inpatient hospital setting with Level 1 Trauma exposure.

Details

• Work in an inpatient hospital EEG department with Level 1 Trauma cases
• Perform all types of EEGs, including bedside, cerebral silence, and standard lab studies
• Adult and varied patient population
• Epic EMR experience required for charting and documentation
• Day shifts with variable 8, 10, or 12-hour schedules, totaling 40 hours per week
• Alternating on-call required
• No floating outside EEG unit specified

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited EEG program (new graduates welcome) or minimum of 2 years hands-on EEG/EMU experience
• ABRET (American Board of Registration of EEG/EP Technologists) certification required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of one year relevant EEG technologist experience
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma setting required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Strong organizational and communication skills required
• License required if applicable
• English fluency required

Additional Information

• Conducts neurodiagnostic testing, equipment disinfection, and documentation with strict adherence to infection control policies
• Responsible for comprehensive patient preparation, education, and instructions before and during procedures
• Notifies neuroscience physician for abnormal EEG tracings and ensures accurate patient charting
• Troubleshoots and arranges repairs for equipment as needed
• Dress code and scrub color not specified
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• No local candidates accepted; must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Returning travelers may not work more than one year continuously at the facility and must take a 6-month break before returning
