Description

American Traveler is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for a mids shift position requiring HSPA or CBSPD certification and at least one year of experience.

Details

• Work in a sterile supply/OR department at a medical facility
• Shift is Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
• One weekend of on-call duty per month
• No floating and no block scheduling
• Scrub color provided by the facility

Requirements

• HSPA or CBSPD certification required
• Minimum of one year recent experience in sterile processing
• No certifications can expire within the first 30 days of assignment
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Responsible for decontamination, packaging, sterilization, and delivery of surgical instruments and equipment
• Position involves documentation of sterilization processes and ensuring equipment functionality
• Role works under indirect supervision using established guidelines and standards
• Returning travelers not eligible if employed as perm staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years
• RTO requests must be less than 1 week
• Must be available for one weekend of call per month
