American Traveler is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist with strong IR/Cath Lab and trauma experience for a Level I Trauma Center contract in Dallas, TX.

Details

• Work in an interventional radiology department within a Level I Trauma Center
• Patient population includes body (trauma) and neuro (stroke) cases
• Schedule is 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with a rotating day off and rotating call requirements
• Candidates must be able to report and be ready for a case within 30 minutes of being called
• Potential to float or provide weekend coverage as needed
• Uses Epic EMR; prior Epic experience is preferred
• Hospital provides scrubs

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab
• Experience with trauma and stroke (body and neuro) cases is required
• BLS (AHA), MRT, and ARRT certifications are mandatory
• Level I Trauma Center experience is preferred
• Vascular Interventional (VI) certification is preferred
• Epic EMR proficiency preferred
• Applicants must have or obtain an active Texas license if applicable
• Only non-local travelers will be considered; 50-mile radius rule applies but is waived for this position due to call requirements
• Two professional references are required
• Must complete all facility-specific documentation and compliance as required

• Perform high-quality interventional radiology procedures according to established protocols
• Provide clear communication and patient instruction, including assessing tolerance for procedures
• Prepare and position patients, set up procedures, utilize sterile techniques, and maintain equipment and workspace for safety and quality
• Adhere to infection control, drug, and radiation safety policies at all times
• Maintain accurate imaging records and documentation in the designated EMR system
• Must be able to serve as a preceptor or provide orientation support as needed
• Flu vaccination is mandatory during flu season with no exemptions granted
