American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist with open heart experience for a CVOR position with day shifts and call requirements.

Details

• Work in a hospital operating room specializing in cardiovascular and general surgeries
• Position is for the CVOR with assignments in other surgical areas as needed
• 10-hour day shifts starting at 7:00 a.m with call responsibilities
• 26-week contract assignment
• Patient population includes cardiac and general surgical cases

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of CVOR experience with open heart cases required
• NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist credential is required
• Massachusetts surgical technologist license required if applicable
• BLS certification required
• Must have experience in both cardiac and general surgical procedures
• Must provide proof of flu vaccination prior to start; declinations are not accepted
• COVID-19 vaccine and booster required unless medically exempt
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility; locals are not accepted
• Must not have been employed at any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility in the last 6 months

Additional Information

• Responsible for scrubbing and assisting in various cardiovascular and general OR procedures
• Must be able to work effectively in multiple surgical service lines within the OR
• Daily duties include maintaining sterile field, anticipating surgeon needs, and handling surgical instruments
• Testing may be required including Tele/ECG and medication tests at some campuses
• Medical exemptions allowed for COVID-19 vaccine only; no exemptions accepted for flu vaccination
• Professional scrubs required as per OR policy
