American Traveler is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist with trauma, neuro, and transplant surgery background for a hospital-based OR position.

Details

• Work within a hospital OR specializing in Level I trauma surgery
• 10 operating rooms focused on inpatient procedures including trauma, neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedic trauma, spine, major plastics reconstruction, robotic surgery, and transplants
• Day shifts (7:00am-5:30pm), four 10-hour shifts per week, with rotation to evenings and short call
• Up to two weekend shifts per month with potential call responsibilities on Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays
• Short call required one day a week, with 30-minute response time
• Primary assignment to West Main OR with potential floating as required

Requirements

• Trauma, neuro, and transplant surgical experience required
• Proven skills in general surgery, robotics, kidney transplants, orthopedic, ENT (head & neck), GYN, urology, and spine procedures
• No local candidates permitted—must reside at least 50 miles from facility
• Returning staff must have been separated from the facility for at least one year to be considered
• MA Surgical Technologist license required if applicable
• COVID vaccine and booster, plus flu vaccine required (medical exemptions allowed)

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include scrubbing a diverse range of complex surgical cases in a high-acuity, fast-paced operating room
• Work alongside a multidisciplinary team providing care for patients with complex trauma, neuro, and transplant needs
• Orientation provided weekly, typically starting on Mondays except holidays
• All RTO (requested time off) must be approved at time of consideration
• Holiday shift coverage may be required during contract period
• Scrub attire follows standard hospital OR dress code
• Parking may cost up to $43 per day
• Pass/fail testing for Tele/ECG and Medication may be required for compliance
