Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 2 years of cath lab experience and ARRT certification for a dynamic role involving cardiac and electrophysiology procedures.

Details

• Work in a cardiac catheterization lab supporting structured heart and endovascular procedures
• Patient population includes adolescents through geriatric patients
• Assist with cardiac electrophysiology studies and ablation procedures
• Utilize Phillips and McKesson EMR/technology, experience preferred
• Shifts vary between 9, 10, or 12 hours with start times between 7:00 and 7:30 AM and end times between 5:00 and 7:30 PM
• Call required for approximately 14 days in a 6-week schedule, including 2 weekends
• May be required to float to other locations as needed

Requirements

• Current ARRT certification required
• BLS certification required, ACLS preferred
• Minimum of 2 years cath lab experience required
• Completion of a vocational/technical degree in RCIS, Radiology Tech, or an accredited Electrophysiology program required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Must pass EKG testing on first day with up to two attempts (study guides provided)
• Ability to work flexible schedules and participate in an on-call rotation
• Must use all PPE, including lead apron and thyroid shield
• Mechanical ability to operate and maintain complex electrical equipment and recording devices

Additional Information

• Assist with procedure setup, patient preparation, equipment calibration, and operation monitoring during cardiac and EP procedures
• Monitor and assess patient condition, calculate drug dosages, and administer medications as needed
• Maintain laboratory and equipment, manage FIFO supply chains, and support billing accuracy
• Role requires occasional lifting and positioning of patients
• Strong interpersonal skills needed to interact with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team
• Work environment may be high pressure and requires ability to act quickly
• Applicants must live at least 50 miles from the facility
