American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist experienced in screening and diagnostic mammograms, with ARRT certification and the ability to work independently.

Details

• Work in a women's center and rotate on mobile mammography vans once or twice a week
• Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms as well as DEXA scans
• Utilize 2 Hologic 3D units and 1 GE Pristina 3D unit in the center and a Hologic 3D unit on the mobile van
• Patient volume is approximately 40-50 per day
• 8 hour shifts between 6:30 AM and 4:00 PM; mobile van hours vary between 6:45 AM and 4:00 PM, lasting 9-10 hours
• No on-call requirement

Requirements

• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology and Mammography required
• ODH license required if applicable
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a registered mammography technologist preferred
• Associate’s degree from an ARRT-accredited program preferred
• Experience with screening and diagnostic mammograms and QC procedures required
• Experience in stereotactic biopsy preferred
• Must be able to work independently
• Radius rule of 50 miles applies for candidates

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include breast imaging, DEXA procedures, and assisting the radiologist with invasive breast procedures while ensuring aseptic technique
• Select and operate breast imaging equipment, apply correct exposure techniques, and ensure patient safety and education
• Participate in departmental quality assurance and improvement initiatives
• Pass/fail EKG testing required on the first day with two attempts provided; study guides available
• Dress code requires appropriate scrubs per department policy
• Local candidates are accepted and must adhere to the specified radius rule
