American Traveler is hiring a Cardiovascular Technologist for a Cath Lab assignment requiring WA state licensure and proficiency in diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures.

Details

• Work in a hospital Cath Lab specializing in cardiovascular procedures
• Patient caseload includes diagnostic and interventional cases such as LHC/RHC, NSTEMI and STEMI, Impella, IABPs, Rotablator, CTOs, shockwave, temporary pacers, peripheral interventions, and loop recorders
• EP procedures include Micra, pacemaker, AICDs, lead extractions and revisions, and generator changes
• Ablations performed twice per month by outside EP team
• IR cases may include G/GJ tubes, nephrostomy tubes, IVC filter placement, dialysis catheters, ports, GI embolizations, thoras/paras, Inari, kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty, y90s, TIPs, and biopsies; no neuro IR
• 10-hour day shifts with hours from 06:30 to 17:00
• On-call requirement of 1-2 nights per week and 1-2 weekends per month with a 30-minute response time
• Uses Epic EMR
• May float to other sites such as Good Sam or Tacoma General as needed
• Weekend shifts involve call coverage only

Requirements

• WA State License required for consideration (license required if applicable)
• RCIS or RT(R) certification required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year Cath Lab experience required; additional IR experience strongly preferred
• Experience with both Cath Lab and EP procedures required
• Scrubbing and table operation skills required
• Monitoring experience preferred
• First-time travelers considered with at least 2 years of experience

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include scrubbing, operating procedure tables, and managing a variety of both cardiac and interventional radiology procedures
• Works collaboratively with an EP physician's external team for ablations
• IR cases are part of the role but do not include neuro IR procedures
• Scrubs are provided
• Must be able to respond to call within 30 minutes
