American Traveler is seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist with ARRT(T) and Michigan license for a leading oncology department using Varian equipment and ARIA software.

Details

• Work in a hospital-based Radiation Oncology department
• Treat both outpatient and a small inpatient oncology population
• Shift is Monday through Friday, 7:30AM to 4:00PM
• 13-week contract with potential for extension or conversion
• Staffing includes 4 therapists per machine
• Treatments are performed with Varian linear accelerators and ARIA software
• Work assignment may rotate through treatment areas as needed
• Possible floating to a nearby sister hospital

Requirements

• Active Michigan Radiation Therapist license required if applicable
• Current ARRT(T) certification required
• AHA certifications required
• Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of Radiation Therapist experience required, 3 years preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with patient mobility
• COVID vaccination is required

Additional Information

• Primary responsibility is direct patient treatment; QA duties are not required
• Role includes patient positioning, accurate treatment delivery, equipment operation, and chart documentation
• Expected to assist supervising and precepting newer staff and students as needed
• Frequent interaction with emotionally distressed or critically ill patients
• Completion of onsite online modules is required before orientation
• No blocked scheduling is offered
• Work environment is connected to the hospital with convenient access
• Team includes several new graduates; leadership and teamwork skills are valued
• Scrub attire policy not specified; follow local guidelines
