Description

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST/ORT) for a travel Operating Room position requiring at least 2 years of experience and professional certification.

Details

• Work in a hospital Operating Room (OR)
• 13-week contract assignment
• Shift is 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM with call requirements
• Patient caseload includes a variety of surgical cases as encountered in a hospital OR

Requirements

• Current CST/ORT certification required
• State license required if applicable
• Minimum of 2 years recent clinical experience as a CST/ORT
• Must have at least 6 months of experience within the past 6 months in the role
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC); certification must be valid for the first 30 days of assignment
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• One professional reference required for most states; two required for Florida and Missouri
• U.S. Social Security Number (SSN) and date of birth (DOB) are required for consideration
• No local candidates—must live at least 50 miles from the facility

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include supporting surgical procedures by preparing and maintaining sterile fields and assisting surgeons and staff
• Maintain proficiency with common OR equipment and instruments
• Must adhere to hospital policies and dress code, including appropriate scrubs
• Provide coverage for call as assigned
