Description

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist First Assist (CST/ORT) with at least 2 years of recent OR experience for a First Assist role in the OR.

Details

• Position is for a First Assist role in the operating room
• Work schedule is 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM
• Travel contract with a 13-week assignment
• Surgical patient population and caseload
• No local candidates permitted; must live at least 50 miles from the facility

Requirements

• Certified Surgical Technologist/Operating Room Technician (CST/ORT) credential required
• Active state license required if applicable
• Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical experience in the area of placement
• At least 6 months of experience within the past 6 months in a comparable role
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC required, with card valid through the first 30 days of assignment
• Candidates must not have any gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• First Assist responsibilities include intraoperative technical assistance and support during surgeries
• Must provide one professional reference (Florida and Missouri require two)
• Copy of all required certifications must be provided for consideration
• Candidate must not be a local resident within a 50-mile radius of the facility
