Description

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with NBSTSA certification for a 13-week assignment in a hospital operating room.

Details

• Work in a hospital operating room with 2 OR suites and 1 endoscopy room
• Cases include orthopedics, general surgery, cataract procedures, podiatry, minor vascular, and pain clinic surgeries
• Shifts are Monday through Thursday, 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM, and Friday, 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM
• Provide peri-operative care under RN supervision

Requirements

• NBSTSA certification required for consideration; this is the only certification recognized in South Carolina
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist
• BLS certification (AHA only)
• Copy of license/certificate required for state-specific registry and primary source verification; license required if applicable

Additional Information

• Assist in maintaining a professional environment and excellent customer relations
• Provide routine and semi-complex nursing care to peri-operative patients under direct supervision
• Create and maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for each surgical intervention
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to meet surgical patient care needs
• Clean, prepare, assemble, and store equipment and supplies in the operating room
• Work with procurement staff to inventory and stock supply cabinets
