Description

American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with ARRT (T) certification, BLS, and two years of experience to deliver advanced radiation treatments in an acute care setting using Varian technology.

Details

• Work in an acute care radiation therapy department
• Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
• No weekend, holiday, call, or floating requirements
• Responsible for 30-35 therapeutic radiation treatments and 3-5 CT simulations daily
• Image-guided radiation therapy and CBCT using GE Lightspeed CT and Varian 2100 IX linear accelerator
• Uses ARIA and Epic for electronic medical records
• Department equipped with 1 CT simulation scanner and 1 linear accelerator

Requirements

• Active ARRT (T) certification and current BLS (AHA) required
• Active West Virginia State Radiation Therapist license required if applicable
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in radiation therapy
• Knowledge of Varian linear accelerators and external beam radiation administration
• Ability to operate GE Lightspeed CT and ARIA/Epic EMR systems
• Valid driver's license with address located more than 50 miles from the facility

Additional Information

• Responsible for image-guided and external beam radiation as prescribed by the radiation oncologist
• Radiation oncologist or covering physician available during treatment days
• Staff are not required to start IVs
• Closed on major holidays
• Scrub dress code is solid color (no navy blue); scrubs are not provided
• Prior permanent or travel staff must have a 2-year gap from previous employment at the facility
• Local candidates within 50 miles are ineligible
