American Traveler is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist for an Operating Room assignment requiring advanced ortho, neuro, and spine skills.

Details

• Position is based in a hospital Operating Room unit
• Rotating 10-hour day shifts with start times of 9:30 a.m.-8:00 p.m. and 11:00 a.m.-9:30 p.m.
• Rotating weekends and coverage for both major and minor holidays are required
• On-call required for at least 1 weekend per month with a 30-minute report time
• No block scheduling available
• Assignment length is 13 weeks

Requirements

• Minimum of 4-5 years’ experience as a Scrub Tech or combined Operating Room experience
• Ability to independently scrub complex orthopedic, neuro, and spine cases
• Associate’s degree from a Surgical Technology program or equivalent certification
• BLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Must be able to perform duties without assistance for complex surgical cases
• All time off requests must be submitted upon consideration
• Locals within 75 miles are accepted
• Scrubs are provided to all staff

• Mandatory overtime may be required as part of the core OR team rotation
