American Traveler is seeking an experienced Polysomnographer / Sleep Technologist for night shifts, requiring a valid CA license and Epic charting experience.

Details

• Work in a sleep diagnostics unit with a high volume of patient backlog and studies to be scored
• Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts from 18:00 to 06:30
• Patients require sleep studies and scoring, with opportunities to assist with education on scoring protocols
• Uses Epic for charting; Epic experience is required
• Floating expected within the hospital and to affiliate facilities nearby

Requirements

• Valid CA Polysomnographer license required if applicable
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Polysomnographer / Sleep Technologist
• Experience working with Epic EMR
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references from the past three years in a comparable setting
• Documentation required includes certifications, SSN, and DOB

Additional Information

• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live more than 50 miles from the facility
• Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state as needed
• Willingness to work 2 out of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year
• Modules must be completed pre-start and annually
• RTO requests must be submitted during application; extensive requested time off may affect consideration
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Housing options in the area may be limited
