Description

American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and expertise in advanced MRI procedures for an acute care, Level I trauma center.

Details

• Work in an acute care hospital with Level I trauma designation and Magnet status
• MRI unit serving diverse adult patient populations with high acuity
• Procedures include abdomen, pelvis, cardiac/cardiovascular, chest, head/neck, spine, and musculoskeletal MRI scans
• Advanced imaging skills in CINE, diffusion, gradient echo, MIP, MRP, perfusion, spin and surface coil imaging required
• Cerner charting system experience required
• 3x12 hour evening shifts, Friday through Sunday, from 7:00 to 19:30
• Will work weekends and holidays as needed for the department
• On-call required as needed
• No floating within facility outside of MRI scope
• No radius requirement; local candidates accepted

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years MRI technologist experience required
• Active IL state license required; pending licensure not accepted (license required if applicable)
• ARRT-MR preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency with abdomen, pelvis, cardiovascular, chest, head/neck, spine, and musculoskeletal MRI exams
• Experience with advanced MRI procedures and specialized imaging techniques specified for this position
• Previous Cerner EMR experience required
• Level I trauma center experience preferred
• Must be able to arrive in Illinois 3 business days before compliance due date for fingerprinting

• Responsibilities include performing all designated MRI procedures with advanced technical skill and ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Work as part of a collaborative imaging team in a high-volume environment
• May be required to provide coverage during holiday periods
• Wear any solid color scrubs in accordance with facility dress code
• Parking permit provided at no cost; form completed during orientation
• First-time travelers accepted for this assignment
• Requested time off ideally not to exceed 5 days
